BONFIGLIO FARM

‘Bonfiglio’ is an historical wine cellar located in Monteveglio, northwest of Bologna, Emilia region, and associated to the Colli Bolognesi d.o.c. Wines Consortium with more than fifty years of typical d.o.c. wine production obtained from grapes of about 25 hectars of his own hilly vineyards originally owned to Ranuzzi de’ Bianchi Counts family when, on the mid of last century, they decided to convert them into high quality wine production.
The low yield per hectare obtained by reducing the quantities produced with short prunings and the practice of thinning out as well as the natural systems to prevent the vine deseases have always been fundamental issues to the quality of grapes that Bonfiglio produces in his twentyfive hectars of vineyards located between Monteveglio and Oliveto hills.
As great interpreter of ‘Pignoletto’, Bonfiglio is able to obtain very interesting products from this indigenous vine, real and authentic ‘king’ of the bolognese viticulture.
Opening times: every day upon reservation.
