San Polo Farm Restaurant

The wine-producer San Polo is part of a mini-village developed around a former convent of the 1600s on the river Guerro by the ancient town of Castelvetro in the start of the foothills of the ‘appenpino’ mountains . Today the centre is run by grandson Paolo Ghiddi who, as part of his search for ever higher quality has turned the whole of his cultivation over to biological produce (guaranteed and certified by the ICEA Surroundings Ethics Institute). Paolo, after a recent restoration has founded the ‘Agriturismo’ , reinventing this former convent as a series of mini apartments and independent bedrooms that offer their ‘resident guest’ a tranquil stay in a an atmosphere of the past in the cradle of the vine covered countryside. The restaurant offers a simple but carefully chosen menu of Italian Everyday Cooking which make the most of the local produce and wines produced on Paolo Ghiddi’s vineyards.
