LA MANCINA FARM

The La Mancina Farm was founded in the early 1960s by Franco Zanetti. In recent years it has been run by his granddaughter Francesca. The desire and ambition to develop new markets, along with the collaboration of the oenologist Giandomenico Negro, have led to a complete overhaul of both the technology used and the management of the vines in order to improve quality while respecting and developing the potential of the land. The vineyards currently cover 47 hectares of which 36 are planted with vines on the wonderful hills of Montebudello, a small hamlet near Monteveglio in the heart of the Colli Bolognesi Hills DOC area. The vines currently cultivated are Pignoletto, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Barbera with particular attention to the native Pignoletto.
