CASA DEI LAMBRUSCHI MODENESI WINE CELLAR

The Casa dei Lambruschi Modenesi Wine Cellar is situated in the Castle of Levizzano
Rangone. The sales area was recently renovated and, apart from the three types of Lambrusco DOC di Modena of which Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro
has the pride of place, it sells a number of other local products. These include Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena, Nocino (a liqueur made from walnuts), traditional cured meats of Modena, Parmigiano Reggiano, and crescentine (a type of bread). It is a place where tradition is highlighted by the location. The Castle, in fact, dates back to 890 and is now the seat of the most important food and farming associations in the area - the Provincial Association of Italian Sommeliers, the Association of Italian Enologists and Wine Technology (Emilia branch), the Association of Expert Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena Tasters and the Association of Castelvetro Food Producers.
