Zola Predosa is situated between the hills and the plains and is watered by the Lavino river. It is a dynamic small town with 16,000 inhabitants enjoying good services, and the surrounding environment offers many possibilities to the visitor thanks to intensive efforts to develop the potential of the area. Despite the fact that there are a number of industries, agriculture remains the main economic activity with cereal, fruit and wine being produced. It has, in fact, been awarded the national appellation “Città del Vino” and the many vineyards, organised along modern lines, producing DOC wines are the mainstay of its agricultural activity. In addition to wines, salamis, delicious Bologna sausages, chese and liquors are also produced in Zola Predosa.
